CRMC Auxiliary Purchases Charging Stations

When you visit the hospital you are greeted with a friendly smile from the CRMC Auxiliary.  Helping taking care of patients and visitors is just one of the many services they provide to Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.  The CRMC Auxiliary also hosts a variety of fundraisers to support their many projects.  Recently the Auxiliary hosted a Scrubs Sale and an Ice Cream Sundae Fundraiser to support the purchase of two charging stations, new recliners for Acute Care, and award scholarships to local students.

The Courtesy Charging Stations are located in the Surgery Waiting Room and the Emergency Room Waiting Room.  These stations can accommodate up to 8 mobile devices to serve the needs of CRMC guests.  “The Surgical Services Department appreciates the continued support of the Auxiliary and these charging stations will be used and appreciated by the family members of our patients” Teresa Barker, Director of Surgical Services.

One of the favorite projects of the Auxiliary is supporting area students who are seeking to continue their education in a medical field.  For the 2018-2019 school year, the Auxiliary awarded four new scholarships.  Recipients of the scholarship are Jayly Cook,  2018 graduate of Oswego High School; Meagan Wright, 2018 graduate of Chetopa High School; Mackenzie Bauer, 2017 graduate of Field Kindley Memorial High School; and Alexa Maulsby, 2016 graduate of Cherryvale High School.
