Ways to Give

GivingTuesday is a global day of generosity that will take place on December 1, 2020.  GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea:  a day that encourages people to do good.  Over the past 8 years, this idea has grown into a year-round movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.  It is an opportunity for people to show their generosity in a variety of ways—whether it is helping a neighbor, advocating for an issue, sharing a skill or giving to a cause everyone has something to give and every act of generosity counts.

On this GivingTuesday, the CRMC Foundation will advocate for acts of kindness and donations that pour into our CRMC associates.  We know that this has been a very stressful year and our hope would be that we could raise enough to bring back a holiday meal for our associates and their families.  Whether individuals can give $5 or $5,000, we want each and, every person who wants to support our associates this year to be able to be a part of GivingTuesday.  Any and, all money raised will pour back into our staff.  If we happen to exceed our goal for the holiday meal, we will use funds to expand training opportunities for associates going forward.

As a nonprofit hospital, revenue alone does not cover all the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading our community hospital and vital equipment. Charitable gifts are essential in strengthening the healthcare programs, building projects and the educational goals of CRMC.

Every gift matters, no matter what size, truly makes a difference.

We welcome your interest in supporting the hospital with a gift to the Foundation. All contributions to the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.

Stock or Mutual Funds

Gifts of stock or mutual funds are among the most mutually-beneficial and easiest ways to give to your local hospital. Gifts of stock or mutual funds are eligible for a tax deduction for the full market value on the date of the gift. Also, the donor avoids paying capital gains on the stock or real estate’s increased value. Please consult your attorney or financial adviser about gifts of stock or mutual funds. To complete a stock transfer, please contact our Foundation Director.

Memorials and Honorariums

A gift in memory or honor of someone is deeply meaningful. When a gift is made in memory or honor of a friend or family member, the immediate family is notified that a gift has been made to honor their loved one. “In Honor of” gifts are a meaningful way to observe someone’s birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion. The Foundation sends a thank you letter to the donor acknowledging their donation.  To honor a loved one’s memory today, please call 620.252.1674.

Donor Advised Fund

A donor advised fund is a centralized vehicle for charitable giving that makes it easy for donors to dedicate funds to support their favorite nonprofit organization. It also provides a convenient and tax-efficient method for donors to manage their charitable giving.

With a donor advised fund, charitably inclined individuals, families, and businesses may take an immediate tax deduction. Donors can recommend grants over time to IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) public charities. Most donor advised funds accept donations of long-term appreciated securities and other assets.
