Coffeyville Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce Nancy Foreman as the February 2021 DAISY Honoree. Forman, was nominated by an associate and was recognized for her dedication and involvement in the COVID-19 Clinic.

“Nancy has led our staff through this pandemic with a true servant’s heart. Nancy has been a resource for all of our other hospitals departments and our community’s clinics that do not perform COVID testing,” said Sandi Beree. “Whether they are leaving messages on her phone, calling her cell directly or just dropping by her office to ask questions, get patients scheduled or just discuss suspected exposures she is always available and willing to listen and respond with little to no notice. With all of this going on for the past 8 months you would think this was a fulltime job in itself. But in reality she also runs our RHC Primary Care Clinic. She staffs and somehow directs patient care throughout each day while juggling all of our own staff that are out for various reasons (including COVID-19).”

The award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s mission to recognize the extraordinary, compassionate nursing care they provide patients and families every day. This is a nationally recognized award.

The DAISY Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, by members of his family.  Patrick died at the age of 33 in late 1999 from complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), a little known but not uncommon auto-immune disease. (DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System.)  The care Patrick and his family received from nurses while he was ill inspired this unique means of thanking nurses for making a profound difference in the lives of their patients and patient families.

Coffeyville Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce Mary Freedle as the February 2021 BEE Honoree. Freedle, nominated by a fellow associate, was recognized Thursday for her positive and professional demeanor and her willingness to always go the extra mile to ensure our patients and staff have the materials they need.

“Many times I would call Mary and she would come back in and spend hours trying to find the equipment we needed. Mary always found the supplies and then came all the new equipment our hospital received,” said Trotter. “Many times I would look up and Mary was up in our department double checking supplies making sure all the bins were full. I feel honored to work with Mary, she is exceptional and a very vital part of CRMC.”

The BEE (Being Exceptional Everyday) Award honors and recognizes team members outside of nursing who go Beyond Exceptional Expectations. These team members provide extraordinary experiences for our patients, their families and visitors by exemplifying quality service and extraordinary care.
