CRMC Foundation hosts Bill Read Golf Classic

Twenty-Five teams participated in the 24th Annual Bill Read Golf Classic on Saturday, August 26th at The Coffeyville Country Club.  The event raised over $12,000 for the Dr. William Read Medical Scholarship Fund which offers support to medical students who are committed to practicing medicine in Coffeyville.

The top 3 teams in each flight were recognized following the tournament. In the Championship Flight, First Place went to Jason Finley, Greg Fox, Phil Hucke and Russell Tomey; their team was sponsored by Coffeyville Resources.   The Second Place team was sponsored by Community State Bank and included Mike Ewy, Jay Herkelman, Paul Kritz, and Monte Coffman.  Dana Schlorholtz, Chad Schlorholtz, Craig Shlorholtz, and Joe Barker received Third Place.  The “A” Flight winning teams included 1st – Ben Viets, John Lindesmith, Chris Cornell, and Neil Osborn; 2nd – Shane & Paula Schabel, David Frank, and Tamara Christian; 3rd – Tyler Rousch, Tracy Woods, Dustin Cain, and Eric Wood.  The “B” Flight winning teams included 1st – Wade Lamb, Robin Lamb, Mike Lamb, and Mike Pendelton; 2nd – Mark & Brenda Stallsmith and Benny & Kay Yeubanks; 3rd – Marlon Thornburg, Ryan McCune, Jeff Morris, and Chad Barnhart.

Additional Awards were given to Mary Freedle for Women’s Longest Drive, Jeff Morris for Men’s Longest Drive, and Bill Teel for Senior Men’s Longest Drive.  The winners of the longest drive contest went home with a new 60 degree Mizuno Wedge.  Jamie Pool won the award for the Marge Read Neese Women’s Longest Putt.
