At Coffeyville Regional Medical Center we take our patients care very seriously and provide the best equipment available in treating their condition. In stroke patients it is very important to get them the fastest care available. KU Medical Center and CRMC have teamed up to provide Tele-Medicine technology in the Emergency Department.
Cameras and equipment provide a direct link from the patient at CRMC to the stroke specialist at KU. The specialist consults with the CRMC ER physician to verify the diagnosis and agree on the best course of action for each patient's unique condition.
CRMC is the first in Kansas to utilize this service for stroke care in the ER with specialist availability 24 hours a day.
"Give me 5 for stroke" is the way to remember the warning signs of stroke.
Even if you have only one of these symptoms or the symptoms go away, Call 911 and go to the Emergency Department immediately! There is a very short window of time to initiate treatment in order for it to be effective.
The Emergency Department at CRMC administers the most up-to-date, life-saving emergency treatment for Stroke Attack, which is just as debilitating as a Heart Attack.
